The Wheatley Omstead Sharks are the last local team in the PJHL playoffs, they face the Lakeshore Canadiens in round 2. Game 2 is tonight with the Sharks up 1-0.

Team Japan has won the World Baseball Classic.

Undefeated Japan topped reigning champ USA 3-2, for its first title since winning back-to-back titles in 2006 and ’09. They are the only team to clinch multiple championships.

In the end, it all came down to Shohei Ohtani vs. Mike Trout. LA Angels teammates facing off for the final at-bat. Ohtani got the strikeout, the win and was awarded MVP of the tournament.


Foot Locker is planning to shut 400 stores by 2026.

Foot Locker said it plans, “to close underperforming locations across North America as part of a transformation of its retail portfolio.”

The company will now focus on higher performing locations and new store concepts.

Foot Locker currently operates about 2,700 stores around the world, including 87 outlets in Canada. They have not announced how many Canadian stores will close.


Tonight’s Lotto 6/49 draw has a $50 million jackpot.

This is the largest Lotto 6/49 jackpot since 2015.

The biggest lottery draw in Canadian history took place last June when the Lotto Max jackpot hit $70 million.
