Gateway Casinos remain closed after a ransomware cybersecurity attack.
Casinos have been closed since April 16th. Gateway officials say they continue to work to restore IT systems and get employees back to work.
In total 14 casinos in Ontario are closed, including the Chatham location.
The federal government has announced Canadian celebrations marking the coronation of King Charles III on May 6th; And it doesn’t look like we’re getting a public holiday to mark the occasion.
An hour-long televised event starts at 10am and will feature artists and speakers. The event will conclude with a 21-gun salute fired from Parliament Hill.
The public can also participate in free activities on May 6 and 7 at Rideau Hall, where they can learn more about the role and history of the Crown in Canada.
This will be the first time a coronation ceremony will take place on a weekend since 1902 when Edward VII was crowned King.
For more than 50 years, His Majesty #KingCharlesIII has had a close connection to Canada.
