It’s Trivia Night at Sons of Kent in support of Rise House International.
Cost is $20 per person at the door. Trivia begins at 7pm with some awesome prizes to be won.
Caesars Windsor is holding an Open House next week to hire table games dealers.
No experience is necessary. Dealer training will be provided, at no cost, for candidates who are successful through the screening and assessment phase. The job requirements are; basic mathematical aptitude, good manual dexterity, availability to work all shifts, 19 years of age or older, and a grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
The open house is on Tuesday, May 2, from 3-7. Make sure to bring your resume.
The Toronto Maple Leafs have a chance at winning their first playoff series in 19 years tonight when they faceoff against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
The Leafs last series win was against the Ottawa Senators in 2004 Eastern Conference Quarterfinals, Tampa has reached the Stanley Cup Final in each of the previous three seasons.
Toronto leads the series 3 games to 1, and are at home for game 5 tonight at 7 on CBC and Sportsnet.
Toronto is getting a new women’s professional soccer team.
The team’s name will be AFC Toronto City, with kickoff in the eight-team league set for 2025. All of the teams will be based in Canada.
Calgary and Vancouver had previously been announced teams.

Doors Open Ontario has announced their schedule for the 2023 season.
The annual program by the Ontario Heritage Trust gives you rare access to buildings and spaces that are typically closed to the public or sites that normally charge admission.
The 2023 season is set to be held over 13 weekends and feature 22 in-person events all across the province between April and October. This year you will have access to explore breweries, farms, and other sites that highlight the region’s culinary and agricultural heritage. Each in-person event takes place over a weekend and is always free of charge.
