The Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authority has issued a flood warning for the Thames River in Chatham-Kent.

Significant rainfall over the weekend has led to high water levels on the Thames River. We could get an additional 10 to 20 mm of rain today.

People are urged to take extra caution and avoid the river, ditches, and streams. The combination of slippery banks, and fast moving cold water can be dangerous.

The flood warning will be in effect until Friday.

The Tilbury Bluebirds first WOSHL season is done.

The Toronto Raptors will likely be hosting a play-in game next Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, and those dates align with the Blue Jays opening home stand at the Rogers Centre.

We’ll have the opportunity to see April’s Pink Moon tonight.

Peak illumination is expected at 12:34am on Thursday. Although the moon will only stay in its true full phase for a fleeting moment, it will appear “full” to the human eye for up to three days.

The Pink Moon is a name for the full moon that occurs in April. This moon was named for the time of year it appears bringing spring blossoms – it doesn’t actually appear as a shade of pink.
