The Igniting Healthcare 50/50 Fundraiser for the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation grand prize draw is today!
Tickets can be purchased online until noon at Ignite5050.ca, in-person at the CKHA Foundation office (9 Ursuline Ave, Chatham) Tickets are $10 for 10 tickets, $20 for 60 tickets and $50 for 200 tickets.
The draw will take place at 1pm this afternoon. All proceeds from the 50/50 will go towards purchasing a Sterrad Unit for Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA).
The Chatham Concert Band returns to Tecumseh Park tonight for Summer Concerts in the Park.
This is the 96th year for the Summer Concert Series, the show is free beginning at 7pm.
Parking is still available at the Chatham Cultural Centre, but due to construction on William St., you’ll have to enter the lot from behind. Access to Tecumseh Park will be via the pedestrian access at Stanley Ave.

Meta‘s Threads is now the fastest-growing platform after 100 million users sign up in first five days.
Threads launched on Wednesday, July 5th and has knocked ChatGPT off as the fastest-growing online platform to hit the milestone.
Threads allows posts that are up to 500 characters long and supports links, photos and videos of up to five minutes. The app also does not yet have a direct messaging function or a desktop version. There are no hashtags and keyword search functions.

Gordon Reid has died.
Reid was the Canadian businessman who founded Giant Tiger. He was 89.
He opened the first Giant Tiger store in 1961 in Ottawa. The chain now has more than 265 locations across Canada and employs more than 10,000 people.
The Powerball jackpot is growing again, after no one had the winning numbers Monday night, so tonight’s draw will be for $725 million. GULP!
There have now been 35 consecutive drawings without a big winner. The next drawing is tonight, which has an estimated $366.2 million lump-sum cash value before tax.
There are no restrictions that prohibit Canadians from playing the Powerball lottery. Tickets can be bought online.
