There was one winning ticket and it was sold in Los Angeles. The winner can choose either the total jackpot paid out in yearly increments or a $558.1 million, one-time lump sum before taxes.
It is the sixth largest in U.S. history and the 3rd largest in the history of the game. The last time someone had won the Powerball jackpot was April 19.

The 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup kicks off today in 10 stadiums across Australia and New Zealand and runs through August 20.
32 teams will battle to win the 9th Women’s World Cup.
Canada is in Group B. The team won gold at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, but are currently ranked seventh in the world. Their best placement was back in 2003 when they finished fourth out of 16 teams. Canadian soccer star Christine Sinclair will captain the team again.
The first game is today at 10:30pm against Nigeria, you can watch all the games on TSN.
Starting today, Ontario bars and restaurants are allowed to serve alcohol as early as 7am for the next month.
The early start is so fans can watch their favourite teams in the Women’s World Cup.
Normally bars and restaurants cannot begin serving alcohol until 9am, but with the tournament being played in Australia and New Zealand, the time difference would leave early morning viewers in Ontario unable to enjoy a drink. The last time the liquor hours were extended was in November for the Men’s FIFA World Cup.
Last call for alcohol at establishments remains unchanged at 2am.
