On Sunday morning, Spain won its first Women’s World Cup defeating England 1-0.
It was the first tournament final for both teams. Spain became the first European team to win the Women’s World Cup since Germany in 2007.
The NBA released the 2023-24 schedule late last week.
Toronto Raptors will begin at home against the Minnesota Timberwolves on October 25.
The Detroit Pistons start on the road in Miami on October 25th.
The Raptors come to Detroit December 30 and March 13.
The CNE in Toronto opened over the weekend.
The CNE is Canada’s largest annual fair and the fifth largest in North America, bringing in 1.5 million visitors each year. The first Canadian National Exhibition took place in 1879 to promote agriculture and technology in Canada.
One of the features this year is the SuperWheel, the tallest travelling Ferris wheel in North America. The ride carries guests over 150 feet in the air in air-conditioned pods, holding up to six guests.
The CNE runs until September 4th. General admission tickets are $25, with discounts available for children, seniors and families.
