The 2023 Field of Honour: The Chatham Coloured All-Stars Charity Baseball Game takes place on Saturday.
It kicks off 10 am at Fergie Jenkins Field.
What began in 2021 as an idea to help further the recognition of the Chatham Coloured All-Stars and early Black baseball in Canada, has now grown into an annual event to celebrate and honour the legacies players left behind.
The Field of Honour Charity Baseball Game is also a fundraising event for the Chatham-Kent Black Historical Society and Black Mecca Museum.
The event is entry by donation.
It’s Move Night at the Capitol Theatre.
Tonight’s movie is Daliland starring Sir Ben Kingsley.
It’s $5 to get in or you can flash your movie pass for entry.
The union representing autoworkers at Ford Motor Company have reached a tentative contract deal.
Late Tuesday evening, Unifor announced its bargaining committee had come to a tentative agreement with Ford, averting a strike that would have seen upwards of 5,600 Canadian workers picketing until a deal was reached between the two sides.
