It’s the final week of the MLB season.
As it stands today, the Toronto Blue Jays are in a playoff position, but they still have some work to do. Toronto has today off, before opening a series against the Yankees in Toronto tomorrow.
Beginning on Thursday, single-game playoff tickets will be available for purchase. To buy them go through the Blue Jays official website, StubHub, SeatGeek, and Ticketmaster.
The Detroit Tigers are well out of the playoff race. They’ll finish the season at home, with the highlight being Miguel Cabrera’s final game before retiring on Sunday.
On Friday, Netflix will send out its final red envelope, meaning the end to 25 years of mailing DVDs to subscribers.
Back in 1998 when Netflix first launched, they offered DVD-by-mail, promising an easier rental experience than having to drive to the nearest Blockbuster. The DVD’s were sent in red envelopes. But in 2007, Netflix began streaming content online and gradually shifted the focus away from its original DVD business.
They will continue to accept returns of customers’ remaining DVDs until October 27.
