Well, we know one team that will compete in the 2023 World Series, the Texas Rangers beat the Houston Astros in Game 7 to advance.

The other series will also go to a game 7 tonight and either the Philadelphia Phillies or Arizona Diamondbacks will join them. Game 7 is tonight.

This will be the first World Series appearance for the Rangers since 2011, they’ve never won the trophy. Game 1 will be Friday.

Have you ever ordered something small from Amazon like ChapStick, and it came in a box that was bigger than necessary? This is what they’re doing to solve that.

A fulfillment center near Cleveland has just changed to a new way of packaging these products. A sensor can scan the items the smaller items that were previously sent in boxes and divert them to the new system. The machine then cuts a paper bag to fit the item perfectly, each bag is secured using glue-free, heat-sealing technology, enabling the machines to pack quickly and accurately.

This also means more of their packaging can be recycled.

Last week the Alaska Department of Fish and Game announced the snow crab harvest season was canceled for the second year in a row, citing the overwhelming number of crabs missing from the waters of the Bering Sea.

Scientists now know what happened to them: Warmer ocean temperatures likely caused them to starve to death.

Snow crabs are cold-water species and largely found in areas where water temperatures are below 2 degrees Celsius (although they can function in waters up to 12 degrees) Warmer ocean water likely wreaked havoc on the crabs’ metabolism and increased their caloric needs. So they’ve followed the food to warmer waters.
