After a couple of frigid days in C-K, more seasonal temperatures expected today.

The majority of our day will be dry with sunshine, clouds will move into the area this afternoon and evening, some could see some rain late tonight. High of 9C today.

Cloud and rain for Friday and the weekend, with a high of 10C.


Tonight is Trivia Night at Sons of Kent in support of Rise House International.

Cost is $20 per person at the door. Trivia begins at 7pm with some awesome prizes to be won.


Night two of budget deliberations saw more cuts, but no approval, so councilors will go back to the table tonight.

With the cuts, the current proposed tax increase is down to 5.76% for 2024. As part of the multi year budget, the average annual hike would be 7.23% through 2027. There was an attempt to approve the budget at the end of the evening, but it was voted down. Deliberations tonight.

If not approved tonight, Tuesday and Wednesday next week have been set aside.

The Weather Network is out with its winter weather preview.

They are predicting a mild start to winter, but a wintry pattern could develop around the holidays, and then it’s expected to be cold to kick off the new year.

Most of Canada will not experience consistent cold weather until later in December.

Forecasters remind us that normal December temperatures are still cold enough for messy winter storms, meaning a white Christmas remains a real possibility.


Single game tickets for the Toronto Blue Jays go on sale today.

If you’re looking to take in a game in 2024, they go on sale at 10a.m.

Single game tickets for the Detroit Tigers don’t get released until December 16th.
