The Chatham Goodfellows are into the home stretch of the annual campaign.

Toy packing wraps up tonight, delivery is set for Monday.

Food packing is Tuesday morning, and delivery is Tuesday around noon.

Those interested in volunteering can sign up at ChathamGoodfellows.ca or show up at the former Monsignor Uyen School on Lark St., in Chatham.

A week and a half left in the annual Salvation Army Kettle campaign.

Volunteers are needed. If you have a couple of hours or more to spare, contact the Salvation Army at CKSalvationArmy.org or call 519-354-8353.


There’s a blood donor clinic Saturday at the St. Clair College Healthplex from 10a.m – 2p.m.

No walk-in appointments are available. Book your appointment at Blood.ca, call 1-888-2-DONATE or use the apps.

If you’re unable to donate this week, the next clinic locally will also be at the St. Mary’s Hall in Blenheim, December 27th.


Premier Doug Ford is expected to announce big changes to how alcohol sales are handled in Ontario today.

The plan is to allow all supermarkets, convenience stores and gas stations to sell beer, ready-to-drink cocktails, coolers and wine starting in 2026. Any retailer selling beer will be allowed to sell 12 and 24 packs, which currently are restricted to The Beer Store. Under the new plan, The Beer Store will continue to handle distribution and recycling.


As of yesterday fans can now rent Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (extended version) concert film for a mere $18.99 on Amazon Prime Video, Apple, Vudu, Xfinity, YouTube and Google TV.

The concert film includes three songs that were not included in the concert film. The movie is only available to rent and just for 48 hours. Those who rent it on Amazon Prime before December 31st will also be entered into a draw for a pair of tickets to one of Swift’s Canadian dates, along with flight and hotel accommodations.

Yesterday was Taylor’s 34th birthday.


Zillow now has a virtual 3D tour of Santa’s House online.

The interactive tour includes a floor plan and high-resolution photos of the different rooms. Santa’s House is currently valued at $1.18 million, if you’re in the market.
