Holiday travelling is coming!
The busiest departure date in Canada this holiday season is expected to be the Friday before Christmas, with more than 205,000 seats already booked.
Travelers returning from Christmas trips or heading out on New Year’s trips will see the largest crowds from December 17 to 29, with close to 200,000 seats scheduled to depart each day.
Travel experts recommend scheduling your return for late on Christmas Day or the 26th to avoid most crowds, if possible.
You could sleep at Santa’s cabin for free, thanks to Airbnb.
Guests will be given a crash course in ‘elfing’ by the Chief Elf and work through the 30,000 daily letters at Santa Claus’s Post Office (in Rovaniemi, Finland — the supposed hometown of St. Nick) to cross-reference the naughty and nice list. There will also be loads of ‘elfies, traditional Finnish meals, a snowmobile activity, a Northern Lights trip, and a sauna.
Chief Elf and the Airbnb Host have been working around the clock to transform Santa Claus’s Cabin into a magical winter wonderland for the visitors.
The listing will be available to book on Airbnb beginning Monday, December 11. The 3-night stay will take place from December 18-21.
Anyone can enter the draw, return flights will be provided for 2 adults and 2 children from London Heathrow to Rovaniemi, Finland.
