Environment Canada has reinstated an Extreme Cold Warning for Chatham-Kent, Windsor-Essex, Sarnia-Lambton, London and Middlesex County.
The wind chill values are forecast to be near -30C this morning.
Extreme cold warnings are issued when very cold temperatures or wind chill creates an elevated risk to health such as frost bite and hypothermia.

There are hopes that the world’s largest skating rink will open this season, but there are no promises.
The 7.8 km Rideau Canal Skateway in Ottawa did not open last season for the first time in history after a nearly snowless and unusually warm December.
For the skateway to open, the canal needs at least 30 centimetres of ice, which demands 10 to 14 days of weather between -10 C and -20 C.
If the canal does open, it’ll be the 54th skating season.
