Detroit held on to beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 31-23 to advance. They’ll play the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday at 6:30.

The National Capital Commission, the operators of the Rideau Canal Skateway in Ottawa opened for the first time in 686 days yesterday.
All 7.8 kms of the largest skating rink in the world won’t be open right away, just a 1.9 km stretch is ready for skaters. More sections wil open as soon as ice conditions become safer.
The canals weren’t open for skating last winter for the first time in history due to unseasonably warm temperatures.

On Friday the U.S. National Weather Service has issued an iguana warning for Florida because of the cold temperatures that are blanketing the state.
“This isn’t something we usually forecast, but don’t be surprised if you see Iguanas falling from the trees tonight as lows drop into the 30s and 40s. Brrrr!”
Iguanas are basically stunned by the cold and fall to the ground. The lizards start getting sluggish and are known to “freeze” when temperatures dip into the 30s and 40s.
