The Kiwanis Club of Chatham is hosting Bottles for Books this weekend.
On Saturday, leave your refundable bottles at the end of their driveway at 9 a.m. for pickup by volunteers.
The bottle drive will support the Dolly Parton Imagination Library to foster children’s literacy.
The 66th Ford Fireworks will light up the sky over the Detroit River Monday, June 24th.
The annual show which celebrates Independence Day in the United States and Canada Day in Canada.
Transit Windsor will, once again, be offering free shuttle buses to downtown Windsor for fireworks night. Shuttles will leave Devonshire Mall starting at 6 p.m. and the last shuttle will return to the mall from downtown directly after the fireworks until midnight.
It’ll be a busy weekend at the border crossings beginning tonight.
The Toronto Blue Jays make their only visit to Detroit to play the Tigers at Comerica Park.
The Jays are in town for a four game series, the first is tonight beginning at 6:40 p.m. The first pitch for the final game of the series on Sunday has been moved from 1:40 p.m. to 11:35 a.m.
The Tigers will play in Toronto July 19, 20 and 21st.
TJ and Amber Brodie are hosting their 3rd annual Rally at the Barn Pickleball Tournament this summer.
It’s a weekend of fun and social pickleball events to help raise awareness and funds for their charity – the Lighthouse Foundation. Pickleball players of all skill levels can play in the tournament (Youth, men, women & mixed divisions), with a guaranteed minimum of four games.
The tournament will take place at Ken Houston Memorial Arena in Dresden July 12-14th. Click here to register.
