TheĀ Wheatley Fish Fest kicks off tonight.
Come out to Two Creeks Conservation tonight beginning at 5 for entertainment, Play Rangers, kids inflatables, and beverages and a BBQ.
Saturday the Wheatley Harbour is the place to be for a vendors market, food and beverages. Later Saturday the Wheatley Arena will host the famous broasted chicken and pickerel dinner.
On Sunday the Wheatley Fish Fest Parade begins at the arena at 12:30 p.m. The Car Show begins at 2 at Coulter Park. The Boat Parade is also Sunday at 7 at the harbour, with fireworks beginning at 10.

Chatham-Kent Flight Fest returns this weekend.
Organized by the Canadian Owners and Pilots Association of Chatham-Kent (COPA YCK). Flight Fest takes place every two years. In 2022, over 75 aircraft were on display and over 10,000 people attended.
There are food vendors, a kids’ play zone, and inflatables. There will also be an arts and crafts vendor show, a Led Zeppelin Tribute by Michael White, plus fireworks to end the night around 9:30 p.m.
Admission is free, but donations of non-perishable items will be collected for the local food banks. Everyone who makes a donation will be entered in a draw to win one of two scenic air tours of the area.
Free shuttles to the airport will run from St. Paul’s Congregational Church on Park Ave. in Chatham, and Memorial Arena on King St. in Blenheim.
The Chatham-Kent Beach Bus is back this weekend.
“Route S1” (aka Beach Bus) will operate Saturday, as well as July 20th and August 3rd this Summer.
The bus arrives and depart from the Chatham Downtown Transfer Terminal at 100 Wellington Street West. Making stops at St. Clair College, Pain Court, Grande Pointe, Mitchell’s Bay, Charing Cross, Blenheim, and Erieau.

- Morning: 9:00 am and 11:30 am
- Mid-day: 3:00 pm
- Afternoon: 5:30 pm
Departure Times to Erieau
- Morning: 10:00 am
- Mid-day: 12:30 pm

Three game weekend for the Chatham-Kent Barnstormers with home games Saturday, Sunday and Canada Day Monday.
The Barnstormers host the Hamilton Cardinals Saturday at 7:05 p.m., defending champions Welland Jackfish on Sunday at 1:35 p.m. and the Toronto Maple Leafs on Monday at 6:05 p.m. All at Fergie Jenkins Field.

As of yesterday, the LCBO has extended its store hours ahead of a possible strike by its workers.
Stores will open early at 9:30 a.m. and stay open as late as 10 p.m. at many locations. The extended hours will remain in place until July 4.
If a deal isn’t reached by July 5th, the LCBO will close all its retail stores for 14 days. After 14 days, only 30 of the 669 stores it operates will open for in-store shopping. The stores will operate Friday, Saturday and Sunday with limited hours in effect. While stores will be closed for two weeks, they will continue to accept orders for free home delivery on its website and mobile app.
All LCBO stores will be closed on Canada Day for the statutory holiday.
