A Rainfall Warning has been issued by Environment Canada.
Rainfall totals of 40 to 60 mm are possible and that torrential downpours will result in rainfall rates of 20 to 40 mm per hour at times. The heavy rain is expected to end Thursday morning.
Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads, with the possibility of localized flooding in low-lying areas.

This is the 96th year for the Summer Concert Series, the show is free beginning at 7pm.

Canada’s run for gold in the COPA America tournament is over.
Argentina shutout Canada in the South American semifinal 2-0 last night.
This is the Canadians first ever appearance in the tournament, they are ranked 48th in the world.
Canada will now play for bronze on Saturday in Charlotte, on TSN at 7:45 p.m.
The curse of Drake hurt the Canadian Men’s team. Drake posted a screenshot on his Instagram of a $300,000 bet he placed on Canada to win the game, with the comment: “This could get Messi.” If Canada pulled off the upset, he could have won $2.88 million from the wager.
Drake’s bets are often cursed. He came up empty with a pair of $500,000 bets on the Edmonton Oilers to win the Stanley Cup and the Dallas Mavericks to win the NBA title. Earlier in the year he pocketed $1.2 million betting on the Kansas City Chiefs to win the Super Bowl.
Next Friday the province is offering free admission to all provincial parks.
On Friday, July 19 it’s Healthy Parks Healthy People Day β part of a global movement to promote the health benefits of spending time outdoors.
The Ontario Provincial Park one-day visitor day permit will allow you to enjoy the park facilities until 10:00pm on July 19. Additional charges for facilities not included in day use such as camping, equipment rentals.
Visitors are encouraged to obtain a daily vehicle permit up to five days before Healthy Parks Healthy People Day at no charge for the 75 parks that offer the service.

The speed limit is going up on some more stretches of Highway 401 on Friday.
The change applies to 10 sections of provincial highway, the speed limit will go from 100 kilometres per hour to 110 in those specific areas.
The change locally will happen on the 401 through Tilbury, extending the existing 110 km/h zone further east by 7 km.
Full list of Ontario highways that will see increased speed limits:
- Hwy. 401, Tilbury, extending the existing 110 km/h zone further east by 7 km
- Hwy. 401 from Hwy. 35/115 to Cobourg (approximately 35 km)
- Hwy. 401 from Colborne to Belleville (approximately 44 km)
- Hwy. 401 from Belleville to Kingston (approximately 66 km)
- Hwy. 401 from Hwy 16 to Quebec boundary (approximately 107 km)
- Hwy. 403 from Woodstock to Brantford (approximately 26 km)
- Hwy. 403 from Brantford to Hamilton (approximately 14.5 km)
- Hwy. 406 from Thorold to Welland (approximately 13 km)
- Hwy. 416 from Hwy. 401 to Ottawa (approximately 70 km)
- Hwy. 69 from Sudbury to French River (approximately 60 km)
The province said all highway sections were selected based on their ability to safely accommodate higher speed limits.
