Temperatures in the mid 20’s to start the week, with cool overnights according to Environment Canada.
Sunshine with a high of 25C today, cooling off to just 11C overnight tonight. Temperatures climbing to about 28 by Thursday.
The Chatham-Kent Film Group will screen Wicked Little Letters today at the Capitol Theatre.
Showings at 4 and 7pm. Admission is $10 and tickets can be purchased at the door.
The C-K Film Group screens independent films the first Monday of the month. Screenings are at Chatham Galaxy Cinemas.
The next film screening will be held on September 9, at Galaxy Cinemas.

The U.S.A. collected the most medals with 126 overall, tying China with 40 golds
Canada brought home 9 gold medals, 7 silver, and 11 bronze for 27 total.
Summer McIntosh and Ethan Katzberg were named Canada’s flag-bearers for the closing ceremonies. Both had already left the Paris, but both athletes hopped on planes and made their way back with five medals in between the two of them — including four gold.
The 2028 Summer Olympics will be held in Los Angeles. The 2026 Winter Olympics will be held in Italy.
The Chatham-Kent Barnstormers regular season home schedule is done.
The Barnstormers lost to the Welland Jackfish on Saturday before coming back for a walk off win Sunday against the Guelph Royals in the 12th inning. In their first ever Intercounty Baseball season, they finished with a 10-11 record at Fergie Jenkins Field.
The Barnstormers are on the road to Barrie on Thursday and Toronto on Sunday before the playoffs begin later this month. Schedule and ticket details have not been released yet.
It’s Pride Week in Chatham-Kent hosted by C-K Pride.
There will be a flag raising at the Civic Centre at noon today with more events scheduled all week.
The annual Pride Parade is Saturday at 11 a.m.
