Tupperware is going bankrupt after 78 years.

Back when they were the only game in town, women threw “Tupperware parties” and sold sets to their friends. They’ve been struggling for years thanks to falling demand and more competition from off-brands sold on sites like Amazon.

Tupperware isn’t going away completely, the company is restructuring their debt. They’re more than $700 million in the hole.

In June they announced they’d be closing their last U.S. factory and laying off 148 workers. A factory in Mexico is taking over production next year.

The once-popular line of food-storage containers was launched in 1946 by a guy named Earl Tupper.

Cristiano Ronaldo has hit one billion total followers across his social media accounts.

The number is calculated by combining his total number of followers across Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. That’s not 1 billion “unique” followers, as many people will follow him across multiple platforms.

Ronaldo is also ahead of some of the biggest names in entertainment, including singers Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez. Even those known primarily for their work online cannot compete – MrBeast, the top YouTuber in the world, has 543m total followers.

He just joined YouTube last month, his channel rocketed to 50 million subscribers within the first week.
