Lots of sunshine for the second week of school.
Environment Canada is calling for sunshine all week with a high of 29C on Thursday.
After some recent accidents, the Chatham-Kent Police are reminding drivers to watch for deer while out on the roads. Drivers should be extra vigilant when driving at dusk and dawn.
Officers have issued the following tips:
- Scan the road ahead from shoulder to shoulder for any movement
- Use high beams at night when possible and watch for the glowing eyes of animals
- If an animal is crossing the road, stop as safely as possible in your lane. Remember, if one animal crosses, others could follow
- Never swerve suddenly. Police said this could cause you to lose control, leading to a more severe collision

The Chatham-Kent Film Group will screen Ezra today at Chatham Galaxy Cinemas.
Showings at 4 and 7pm. Admission is $10 and tickets can be purchased at the door.
The C-K Film Group screens independent films the first Monday of the month, but due to the holiday and screen availability, September’s movie is today.
The next film screening will be held on Monday, October 7th.
The Chatham Courthouse and Jail Tours through September.
Tours are held Wednesday and Friday at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Saturday
Ticket prices are $20 for all ages, plus HST fees.

Kendrick Lamar has been chosen to headline the Super Bowl Halftime Show.
He says, “Rap music is still the most impactful genre to date. And I’ll be there to remind the world why. They got the right one.” Although it’s Kendrick’s first time headlining, it’ll be his second Super Bowl Halftime Show. He was part of the hip-hop-themed show in 2022.
Super Bowl 59 goes down February 9th in New Orleans.
The Dallas Cowboys and quarterback Dak Prescott agreed to a record four-year, US$240 million contract extension on Sunday.
The deal makes Prescott the highest-paid player in the NFL. The 31-year-old becomes the first player to earn $60 million per year.
Tonight the New York Jets are in San Francisco to play the 49ers on Monday Night Football.
A new study asked people when they procrastinate the most.
After analyzing the responses, they determined that peak procrastination hits at 12:06 p.m. on Mondays.
Once people get to work on Mondays, shake off the cobwebs, work for a few hours, they’re basically over it by lunchtime.
71% of us admit to procrastinating.
The study also asked people what they usually find themselves doing other than the things on their to-do list, and the top responses were: Watching TV, scrolling through social media, taking a nap, visiting with family and friends, grabbing a bite to eat, “doing nothing”, going for a walk and going shopping.
