November 25, 2024
November 25, 2024 5:55 amNovember 25th is the 330th day of the year. There are 36 days remaining until the end of the year.
The CP Holiday Train will make a stop at the John D. Bradley Centre at 2:30.
The train is 1,000 feet long and decked out in holiday decor and LED lights. It’s making its way across Canada and the U.S. for its first cross-continent tour after three years of virtual concerts. The CP Holiday Train program has two trains, one that travels only in Canada and another with stops in both Canada and the U.S.
American Authors and KT Tunstall will be performing between 2:45 and 3:15.
The event is free but CP encourages people to bring food donations to help address hunger in their communities. Local food banks will be accepting donations at each stop to ensure those less fortunate have enough healthy food this holiday season.
Chris and Allanah are volunteering their time this morning at Sobeys Chatham to watch a Salvation Army Kettle.
The goal this year is $550,000 and that will stay local and support local initiatives.
Please make a donation (some kettles are equipped to take debit and credit cards) and volunteer your time to watch a kettle over the holidays. To help out call the Chatham-Kent Salvation Army at 519-437-1784 or 519-437-1769 or check out the Facebook page for info.
Stop by and see CKMORNINGS between 10-noon this morning at Sobeys Chatham.
The Municipality of Chatham-Kent is hosting the second of two public Ward Boundary reviews tonight.
You are welcome to join either meeting in-person or virtually, tonight at the John D. Bradley Convention Centre beginning at 6 p.m.
The meetings will be live streamed on the municipal Facebook Page and YouTube channels.
Options include dropping the number of members of council from the current 18 to 15, and possibly even lower to 13, including a mayor. Different variations could see the number of wards increased from six to as many as 14.
A final report will return to council on December 16.

Sudbury is now home to the World’s Biggest Goal Light.
The Sudbury Wolves Sports and Entertainment group has transformed the city’s iconic 120-foot downtown water tower into goal light.
Whenever the OHL’s Sudbury Wolves score, the tower will light up red, mimicking the goal light in an arena.
The official unveiling and lighting ceremony will took place at the annual Santa Claus Parade over the weekend. During the holiday season, the tower will host scheduled light shows synchronized to popular Christmas music.
The project features more than 100 lighting fixtures and 2,500 LEDs.
The biggest goal light in the world… coming soon.

The last week of November will be heavy on the “brr”.
