The two sides have reportedly agreed to a record $765 million, 15-year contract.
Soto’s agreement is the largest and longest in Major League Baseball history, topping Shohei Ohtani’s $700 million, 10-year contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers, signed last December. Soto’s contract is reportedly not only the biggest in MLB history but in all professional sports.
If you’re travelling over the holidays, you are being warned not to bring wrapped Christmas presents to airports.
You may be asked to unwrap them at security checkpoints. It is recommended to either wait to wrap the gifts after the airport checkpoint or place the item inside a gift bag so that it can be inspected without having to dismantle the wrapping paper. There are also certain rules applied to holiday gifts like oversized snow globes and large electronics.
Cloudy skies today, with some sunshine and rain and a high of 8C according to Environment Canada.
Temperatures drop beginning tomorrow, down to just 2C with some flurries, then down to a high of just -5C on Thursday, with more flurries expected.
