The Chatham Goodfellows are into the home stretch of the annual campaign.
Toy packing wraps up tonight, delivery is set for Tuesday, December 17th. Those interested in volunteering can sign up at ChathamGoodfellows.ca or show up at the former Monsignor Uyen School on Lark St., in Chatham.
Food packing is Wednesday morning, and delivery is around noon. Volunteers can show up at the Spirit and Life Centre to help out.
A week and a half left in the annual Salvation Army Kettle campaign.
Volunteers are needed. If you have a couple of hours or more to spare, contact the Salvation Army at CKSalvationArmy.org or call 519-354-8353.
The Rotary Club of Dresden are hosting another Christmas Town Wheelhouse Concert tonight.
Much like the club’s Summer Concert Series, the lineup will include local talent taking the stage. Tonight the club welcomes the Kenny and Joel Acoustic Show.
Tickets are on sale for $10 each and are available at McKellar’s Flowers and Union Block Bakery, as well as by email.
Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Concerts begin at 8 p.m. Cash bar is available. The Wheelhouse is located at 547 North St. in Dresden.
The deadline to drop your Letters to Santa is Saturday. The Chatham-Kent Public Library branches are helping get those letters to the North Pole!
Drop off your letters to Santa at your local branch before Saturday, December 14th.

No stamp required. Children will receive a reply, delivered by volunteers, so make sure to include your home address on the envelope!
For more than 40 years, Canada postal elves have been busy helping Santa sort through over one million letters per year from around the world! With the current Canada Post strike, the Chatham-Kent Public Library has stepped up to help get those letters to the man in red.
Grab some skates and get the family out for some FREE Public Skating this weekend.

It’ll be a busy weekend at local arenas…and restaurants and hotels.
The Kent Minor Hockey Association is hosting seven divisions this weekend in the annual Chatham Regional Silver Stick qualifying tournament.
Sixty-four teams will be in action at Thames Campus, Erickson, and Chatham, Blenheim and Tilbury memorial arenas. The Kent Cobras will have a team entered in each division.
All seven championship games will be played Sunday. Winners advance to the International Silver Stick boys’ finals.
