The final Rotary Club of Dresden Christmas Town Wheelhouse Concert is tonight.
Much like the club’s Summer Concert Series, the lineup will include local talent taking the stage. Tonight the club welcomes Classic Vibe .
Tickets are on sale for $10 each and are available at McKellar’s Flowers and Union Block Bakery, as well as by email.
Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Concerts begin at 8 p.m. Cash bar is available. The Wheelhouse is located at 547 North St. in Dresden.
Tonight is the final Trivia Night at Sons of Kent for the year, in support of Rise House International.
Cost is $20 per person at the door. Trivia begins at 7pm with some awesome prizes to be won.
The Blenheim Blades host the Amherstburg Admirals on Sunday night at the Blenheim Memorial Arena.
Ward 2 Councillor Anthony Ceccacci is covering the admission for all children 12 and under for the game.
The team will also be collecting non perishable food items for the Word of Life Soup Kitchen in the lobby before the game. Bring your skates because after the game its the annual Skate with the Blades. Puck Drop is at 7 p.m.
The Kiwanis Club of Chatham-Kent wants your empties!
The Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library Bottle Drive will again be collecting empty bottles to help fund distribution of books through the Dolly Parton Imagination Library.
Empty liquor, wine, and beer bottles, as well as any alcohol or beer cans will be collected from December 27 to January 3. Sign up online where they’ll be able to choose a time and location for the bottles to be picked up.
Cincinnati Bengals running back Chase Brown has been fined by the NFL $5,481 for jumping into a giant Salvation Army kettle during a touchdown celebration.
It happened during the Bengals’ Monday Night Football game against the Cowboys on December 9th. NFL players aren’t allowed to use PROPS during touchdown celebrations.
Chase actually had no idea he could get in trouble for this. And he was shocked when reporters let him know during a postgame interview. Chase is from London, Ontario.
