The Chatham Goodfellows’ annual Porchlight Campaign is tonight.

Hundreds of volunteers will go door to door, seeking donations to ensure their slogan stays true, “No Child Without a Christmas.” The volunteers will wear their red Goodfellows aprons, flip your porch light if you have a donation on and expect to see them knocking on your door anytime after 5:30 p.m.

More information and how to volunteer, go online to chathamgoodfellows.ca.

The Chatham-Kent Film Group will screen Sing Sing Monday at Chatham Galaxy Cinemas.

Showings at 4 and 7pm. Admission is $10 and tickets can be purchased at the door.

The C-K Film Group screens international and independent films the first Monday of the month.

The next film screening will be held on Monday, January 6th.

Chris and Allanah are volunteering their time this morning at Sobeys Chatham to watch a Salvation Army Kettle.

The goal this year is $550,000 and that will stay local and support local initiatives.

Please make a donation (some kettles are equipped to take debit and credit cards) and volunteer your time to watch a kettle over the holidays. To help out call the Chatham-Kent Salvation Army at 519-437-1784 or 519-437-1769 or check out the Facebook page for info.

Stop by and see CKMORNINGS between 10-noon this morning at Sobeys Chatham.

The Chatham-Kent Public Library branches are helping get letters to Santa!

Send him your holiday greetings, your wish list, and your appreciation.

Please address your letters to:

For more than 40 years, Canada postal elves have been busy helping Santa sort through over one million letters per year from around the world! With the current Canada Post strike, the Chatham-Kent Public Library has stepped up to help get those letters to the man in red.

Today is Cyber Monday. The biggest online shopping day of the year.

Its creation was no accident. According to research and analysis, there were noticeable increases in online spending on the Monday after the U.S. Thanksgiving, on November 28, 2005, a press release said: “Cyber Monday Quickly Becoming One of the Biggest Online Shopping Days of the Year.”

Online sales have gone up every year since.

Retail analysts say that’s the best day to buy a computer.
