The Rotary Club of Dresden are hosting another Christmas Town Wheelhouse Concert tonight.

Much like the club’s Summer Concert Series, the lineup will include local talent taking the stage. Tonight the club welcomes La Fiesta Band.

Tickets are on sale for $10 each and are available at McKellar’s Flowers and Union Block Bakery, as well as by email.

Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Concerts begin at 8 p.m. Cash bar is available. The Wheelhouse is located at 547 North St. in Dresden.

The Coca-Cola Holiday Caravan is coming to town this weekend.

On Saturday the iconic Coca-Cola Truck will be spreading holiday cheer throughout Chatham-Kent. The Christmas-themed Coca-Cola semi-truck that is lit with thousands of holiday lights and tree display where families can take pictures.

The Caravan will start at Coca-Cola on Park Ave. at 4:20, stopping at the Thames Lea Plaza (575 Grand Ave., West) at 6:30, before heading to the Pain Court Market at 7:15 p.m.

The four countries competing in the 4 Nations Face-Off announced their rosters of NHL players last night that will be competing.

The best-on-best tournament featuring teams consisting of NHL players from Finland, Sweden, Canada and the United States, will be held from February 12-20, in Montreal and Boston.

Twenty-three NHL players—totaling 20 Stanley Cups and three Olympic gold medals— were named to the Canadian roster, including Chatham-Kent’s Travis Konecny. Other players selected for Team Canada include the Maple Leafs’ Mitch Marner, Connor McDavid, Sidney Crosby, Nathan MacKinnon, and Cale Makar.

Red Wings’ captain Dylan Larkin has been added to the USA roster. Wings teammate Lucas Raymond and Leaf William Nylander will play for Team Sweden.

Parks Canada announced over the weekend that reservations in Ontario for the 2025 season will open in February.

Campers looking to book trips to the Western provinces can begin in late January. The specific launch dates vary by province and territory. Reservations can be booked here or by phone.

Ontario Provincial Park reservations are accepted up to 5 months in advance of your arrival date. This means you can make a reservation on December 15, 2025 for an arrival date of May 15, 2025. Click here for Ontario Park reservations.
