Another cold day in Chatham-Kent, with some snow to shovel to kick off the weekend.

Environment Canada is calling for flurries today, picking up in the afternoon and 5cm (almost 2 inches) accumulation when its all said and done.

The high today is -3C, it’ll feel like -19 this morning with the windchill. Zero on Saturday and -1 on Sunday, with more snow carrying into Monday.

The North American International Auto Show opens today in Detroit for the media. The public show opens on Saturday.

After no show in 2024, it returns to January at downtown Detroit’s Huntington Place, formally known as Cobo Hall. The public shows run from Saturday to Monday, January 20th, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., except Wednesday, January 15, and Thursday, January 16, when doors are open later, from 1-8 p.m.

A line up of nameplates, hybrids and EVs and a mix of cars and trucks will be showcased. There will be four indoor tracks that will allow show goers the chance to experience first-hand the newest products in ride-along track activations.

It’s Wild Card Weekend in the NFL.

On Saturday: The Los Angeles Chargers take on the Houston Texans at 4:30 p.m., followed by the Pittsburgh Stealers in Baltimore to play the Ravens at 8 p.m.

Three games on Sunday: the Denver Broncos take on the Bills in Buffalo at 1 p.m., Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles at 4:30 p.m. and the Washington Commanders and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at 8 p.m.

Monday night the Minnesota Vikings take on the LA Rams at 8 p.m. The game has been moved from Los Angeles to Arizona because of the wildfires.

The Detroit Lions We Want More Tour bus comes to Windsor this afternoon. The We Want More Tour will be at Caesars Windsor from 12:30- 2 p.m. at the Grand Entrance off Riverside Drive. There’s a chance to win playoff tickets, a “Call Dan Campbell” phone booth, photo ops and Lions giveaways.

This evening, on the waterfront, there will be a Lions themed drone show. The drone show, featuring 400 drones, kicks off at 7 p.m., weather permitting. The drone show will last approximately 15 minutes.
