The Chatham-Kent Polar Plunge is this weekend.

Money raised will support Special Olympics Ontario and the athletes.

Come by Sons of Kent Saturday and check out one of the plunges, beginning at 4 p.m. And if you’d like to take the plunge, you can still register.

U-Haul has released its annual Growth Index data, a list that calculates the growth of cities by the net gain or loss of one-way equipment rentals.

Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta rank as the top two growth cities in Canada. Calgary takes the top spot as the most-moved-to city for the second consecutive year.

Belleville was the most moved-to Ontario location in 2024, jumping from 20th place on the 2023 list to third place in Canada. Nearby Trenton jumped from 14th place in the 2023 rankings to 4th place in 2024.

Chatham-Kent is the #10 most-moved-to-city. C-K was the top city on the list in 2022.

The Lions have one win this month, are the #1 seed in NFC and will play the Washington Commanders on Saturday at 8 p.m.

The Detroit Red Wings are 5-0 (Just out of the playoffs) and they take on the second worst team in the league tonight (San Jose Sharks)
and the Pistons beat the Knicks last night to move to 7-1 in 2025.

Uber has just announced a new promotion aimed at teenagers; they’re offering up to six free rides if they took a driver’s test and failed.

They say it’s their way of “covering” kids until they have a chance to re-take the test. Each free ride is worth up to $20.

There is one catch though: The offer is only available on brand new Uber Teen accounts. So, if you have an existing account and you fail your exam, you’re out of luck.
