It’s here: the Chatham-Kent Polar Plunge is tomorrow.

Money raised will support Special Olympics Ontario and the athletes.

Everyone is invited to come by Sons of Kent Saturday, registration begins at 1, plunges at 4 p.m. And if you’d like to take the plunge, you can still register.


The 22nd Annual Toy Show and Sale is Sunday at the John D. Bradley Convention Centre.

Come and see: farm toys, trains, sports cards, trucks, construction, model ships, books, planes, cars, action figures, dolls, collectibles, coins, and more!

The show is open Sunday from 10-3 p.m. Adults are $5, students $2 and 6 and under is free. Proceeds to: Chatham-Kent 4-H Farm Toy Club and Chatham Outreach for Hunger.

The Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs kicks off Saturday.

Tomorrow: Houston Texas at Kansas City Chiefs 4:30 and the Washington Commanders are at Ford Field to play the Detroit Lions at 8 p.m. You can catch the Lions on CTV.

Sunday: Los Angeles Rams are in Philadelphia to play the Eagles at 3 p.m. and the Buffalo Bills host the Baltimore Ravens at 6:30.

The Super Bowl is Sunday, February 9 in New Orleans.


Mr. Baseball: Bob Uecker, the voice the Milwaukee Brewers, baseball Hall of Famer, and actor, has died.

He was 90. He had battled small cell lung cancer since early 2023.

Uecker played 6 years for his hometown Brewers, before spending 50 years in the broadcast booth. He also starred on Mr. Belvedere and the Major League movies and many Miller Lite commercials over the years.
