The Chatham-Kent Film Group will screen Drive Back Home Monday at Chatham Galaxy Cinemas.

Showings at 4 and 7pm. Admission is $10 and tickets can be purchased at the door.

The C-K Film Group screens international and independent films the first Monday of the month.


The Walpole-Algonac Ferry is still closed due to ice on the river.

The ferry stopped running last Tuesday due to ice in the St. Clair River. No reopening date set at this time.


Epicure is done.

Announced on Friday, after 32 years, Epicure has ceased operations.

The company carried hundreds of products, including dips, rubs, seasonings and cookware. Like ­companies such as Tupperware, Avon and Mary Kay, Epicure relied on a network of sales associates to host parties where guests can try out the company’s products, look at catalogues, socialize and shop. Those promoting the products get a share of the sales revenue.

As of Friday, the content on Epicure’s website had been removed. Consultants no longer have access to the back-end of the website, and staff at head office were no longer answering phones. The company’s social media presence has been wiped.


Miller Lite has launched billboards mocking fantasy football losers.

The billboards feature witty taunts and messages aimed at those who didn’t come out on top in their fantasy football leagues.

The large format digital billboards will be live for two weeks across Ontario, Quebec, Alberta, BC and Newfoundland.
