The Chatham-Kent Film Group will screen Drive Back Home tonight at Chatham Galaxy Cinemas.

Showings at 4 and 7pm. Admission is $10 and tickets can be purchased at the door.


Chatham-Kent Minor Baseball registration opened for the 2025 baseball season over the weekend.

Early Bird Registration fee of $140 if registered by the end of February. Regular fee is $165 after February 28th.

As promised, U.S. President Trump placed tariffs Saturday on Canada, Mexico, and China, launching a trade war.

Trump declared an economic emergency in order to place duties of 10% on all imports from China and 25% on imports from Mexico and Canada. Energy imported from Canada, including oil, natural gas and electricity, would be taxed at a 10% rate.

Canada and Mexico are retaliating with their own tariffs on America. Trump acknowledged that Americans may feel “some pain” with higher prices, but added, “The results will be spectacular!!!”

Ontario Premier Doug Ford announced on Sunday that all American liquor will be removed from LCBO shelves starting Tuesday in response to the tariffs placed on Canadian products.


Some tech tests happening right now:

Meta is testing a pause button for Instagram Reels in the wake of TikTok’s questionable future. The highly requested function allows users to pause a video by tapping on it. It has long been a key feature of TikTok.

Google is testing out a new tool that uses artificial intelligence to call businesses and ask questions for you.

“Ask for Me” is a feature that is specially designed to receive details such as pricing and service availability. It is currently only available for nail salons and auto shops.


Temperatures hovering above the freezing mark this week according to Environment Canada.

High of 5C today with clouds and rain. The rest of the week should be unsettled before temperatures dip again on the weekend.

The Walpole-Algonac Ferry remains closed due to ice on the St. Clair River, no reopening date has been set.
