Dry February is back.

Dry February is the Canadian Cancer Society‘s campaign to raise awareness and funds to combat cancer.

The idea is for casual drinkers to go “dry” for the month of February to improve their health and acknowledge the risks associated with drinking.

According to the Canadian Cancer Society, the more you drink alcohol in any form – the higher your cancer risk.

To sign up go to DryFeb.ca and register and start looking for sponsors. You can choose to participate for the whole month, 21 days, 14 days, or customize a timeframe that works for you.

This will be the tenth year for the Dry-Feb challenge. The fundraiser has raised over $15M dollars to support people affected by cancer.

According to the internet, McDonald’s Shamrock Shakes are back in Canada.

The minty shakes returned yesterday. The Shamrock Shake is a milkshake made with vanilla soft-serve ice cream, artificially flavored minty green syrup and whipped topping. McDonald’s debuted the first Shamrock Shake in 1970, and the cult classic has been returning to the menu around St. Patrick’s Day each year since.

U.S. McDonald’s are rumoured to begin shake season on February 10th.
