Tours of the Chatham Jail will return beginning April 15th.

The tours take place Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. One tour will be held each Saturday from 2-4 p.m.

Tours are limited to 10 people and tickets are available for $20 plus fees at eventbrite.com by searching Chatham-Kent Courthouse and Jail Tours. Tours are scheduled to continue until June 28th.

Prime Minister Mark Carney is expected to call a federal election this Sunday.

Carney will visit the Governor General and request the dissolution of Parliament. Sources say a snap election could be as early as April 28 or May 5. The election campaign lasts for a minimum of 36 days and usually around 40 days.

This would be Canada’s 45th federal election.

The Chatham Maroons are up 2 games to none in their first round GOJHL playoff series against the Elmira Sugar Kings.

Game 3 is Sunday at Memorial Arena. Puck drop at 7 p.m.

Game 4 is Monday in Elmira, and game 5 will be Thursday back in Chatham (if needed) Tickets for home games are priced at $13 for adults, $11 for seniors, and $7 for kids aged 6-11.
