People around the world are supposed to wear purple today to raise awareness about epilepsy worldwide.
50 million people have epilepsy worldwide. It is estimated that 1 in 100 people have epilepsy.
There’s a blood donor clinic Saturday at the Portuguese Canadian Club 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The next local clinic is Tuesday at the St. Clair College Healthplex from 1 – 8 p.m.
CAA kicked off the 2025 Worst Roads campaign yesterday.
Voting is now open for the campaign highlighting bad roads across Ontario.
CAA says, nominating Ontario’s Worst Roads helps shine the spotlight on where more work is needed. Your helps continue the dialogue with multiple levels of government to help pave the way for safer roads across Ontario.
Aberdeen Avenue in Hamilton was named Ontario’s worst road in 2024. In our region, the South West Region, Plank Road in Sarnia took the top spot.
Nominations can be cast at caaworstroads.com until April 18th.
Today marks one year since a container ship lost power after leaving the Port of Baltimore and struck a pillar of the Key Bridge, causing it to collapse, killing six construction workers who fell into the river.
The large vessel collided with the bridge around 01:30 a.m. local time. The 1,200 feet span bridge was the third longest span of any continuous truss in the world.
The Maryland Governor revealed the design for the new bridge early last month. The new cable-stayed bridge, will stand 45 feet taller than the original bridge and is set to open as soon as Fall 2028.

According to the small print in the rules, they won’t actually win endless bottles of Fireball, they’ll just get a check for $2,400 and can use the money on Fireball if they want.
