Big win for the Chatham Maroons in Game 5 last night. They beat the Stratford Warriors 6-3 and are one win away from a Western Conference Semi-Finals series win.

Maroons can win the series on Friday in Stratford, if not Game 7 is Sunday at Memorial Arena. Puck drop at 7 p.m.


The 9th annual Hike for Hospice CK is back to raise funds in support of Hospice residents and their families in Chatham-Kent.

You can go online now to register or donate to a team.

The hike is at Mud Creek Trail May 5th. If you can’t make that date, come anytime between April 28 and May 3 to get your hike in.


The Toronto Blue Jays and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. make it official: he’ll be a Blue Jay for life.

Guerrero has signed a $500-million, 14-year extension with the Jays.

Guerrero is a dual citizen of Canada and the Dominican Republic. He was born in Montreal during his father’s time with the Montreal Expos. A deal didn’t look promising when nothing was agreed to by his own February 18th deadline, raising the anger of fans.

It’s the biggest contract in Canadian sports history for a single athlete and the fifth-largest in the history of professional sports.


The Masters golf tournament begins today.

One of the four major PGA tournaments, and the only one played on the same golf course every year. This is the 89th annual tournament. The winner recieves over $3.6 million dollars and the coveted green jacket. Scottie Scheffler is the defending champ.

A comedian in New Zealand asked people to show up at an outdoor shopping area to watch him fold a sheet.

More than 700 people did.

His name is Dan Boerman and it was a stunt to promote his appearance at the New Zealand International Comedy Festival.
