The Chatham Maroons will play the St. Marys Lincolns in the Western Conference Final.
The Lincolns won game 7 against London last night to advance.
The schedule for the Western Conference Championship series will be announced later this week.
The Toronto Maple Leafs have one more game (vs Red Wings tomorrow) before the playoffs begin this weekend.
With ticket prices through the roof, the next best thing might be to join in the tailgate party outside the arena. Each night that the Leafs play during the playoffs (exact schedule has not been announced), Maple Leaf Square, just outside Scotiabank Arena, will once again be streaming the games live on an enormous screen outside.
Tailgates are free to attend for both home and away playoff game days. You will need register for a free mobile pass through the Toronto Maple Leafs app, where you will get up to two non-transferable passes to the tailgate.
Passes become available at 1 p.m. the day before each confirmed game, so you’ll need to be ready to get your passes.
The 2025 NHL Playoffs are slated to begin on Saturday, April 19th.
The Swedish television show Den stora algvandringen is a hit.
Translated, it is The Great Elk Trek.
The livestream airs until May 4th with remote cameras capturing dozens of moose as they swim across the Angerman River, 300 kilometers (187 miles) northwest of Stockholm. For the Moose it’s the annual spring migration toward summer grazing pastures. This years season kicked off a week ahead of schedule due to warm weather and early moose movement. The moose have walked the route for thousands of years.
An alert will go out to phones through the shows app: Forsta algarna i bild!, or “First moose on camera!” Viewers worldwide will then tune in. The livestream’s chat will explode as commenters encourage the animal making its way into the water.
Last year the show had 9 million viewers.
