Cool temperatures to begin the week according to Environment Canada.

Cloud and rain today with an expected high of 9C. Sunshine but highs of just 2C for Tuesday and 5C for Wednesday.

With those cool temperatures in the forecast, the Tigers have adjusted their schedule this week. They were scheduled to play the New York Yankees tonight, Tuesday and Wednesday at 6:40 p.m. The team announced Sunday game times have been changed to 3:10 p.m. today and 1:10 p.m. for Tuesday and Wednesday.


The Chatham-Kent Public Library is hosting a puzzle swap at the Chatham Branch.

Puzzle drop off begins today until Friday during library hours.

The Puzzle swap takes place Saturday, April 12 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.


Couple of big sports stories…

Alexander Ovechkin is now the NHL’s greatest goal scorer ever. He scored his 895th career goal Sunday against the New York Islanders to pass Wayne Gretzky’s previous record of 894. Ovechkin set the mark in his 1,487th career game – the same number it took Gretzky.

And late last night news leaked that the Toronto Blue Jays and first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. have agreed to a 14-year, $500 million extension. The deal immediately makes it one of the biggest moments in franchise history.

The club has not confirmed the deal, which is pending a physical.


The NCAA men’s basketball final is tonight.

Two #1 seeds will do battle. Houston and will play Florida to wrap up March Madness.

The tip off is at 9:20pm on TSN.

The women’s tournament ended on Sunday with the University of Connecticut winning their 12th national title.


Chili’s is opening its first restaurant in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

Why do we care? Fans of The Office will tell you that’s where Dunder Mifflin was.

The popular chain is opening a restaurant in the Pennsylvania city 20 years after the famous episode of The Office aired where employees from Dunder Mifflin celebrated the Dundies awards. The NBC show premiered in 2005. The show ended after nine seasons in 2013 but lives on in syndication.

Chili’s will pay homage to the chain’s “most notable on-screen moments, with throwback nods and decor.”
