The Municipality will recognize youth who go above and beyond tonight at the Capitol Theatre.
The Youth Community Recognition Awards Program will recognize students from across Chatham-Kent who volunteer in their school and community.
Each student will receive an engraved award, a swag bag and a $50 gift card to a local restaurant. Parents, guardians, families and the community are invited to attend.
The Ontario Provincial Police are launching a new school bus safety campaign targeting unsafe drivers.
Due to a recent spike in school bus crashes West Region OPP officers will be conducing blitzes for school bus runs.
The campaign is called “Safety Stops Here” and will run this week. Officers will focus their efforts on drivers who fail to stop for school buses, as well as focus on motorists who engage in unsafe driving behaviours like unsafe passing, speeding and following too closely.
It’s now a best-of-3 series for the Toronto Maple Leafs and Florida Panthers, with the series tied 2-2.
Game 5 is tonight in Toronto, puck drop at 7 p.m. on CBC.
The NFL will release its 2025 regular-season schedule tonight.
The schedule will be revealed on the NFL Network starting at 8 p.m. There will be three hours of coverage.
Opening day for the 2025 season is Thursday, September 4th, with defending Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles taking on the Dallas Cowboys.
The season set to conclude with Super Bowl LX on February 8th, 2026 in San Francisco.

New technology will connect members’ electronic health records directly to 911 dispatchers. When an operator receives an emergency call from a number, software will automatically link to a medical records in its database in seconds.
The foundation is working to have the project up-and-running in in most areas across the country in the next three-to-five years.
