May 20th is the 140th day of the year. There are 225 days remaining until the end of the year.

It’s Paramedic Services Week and across Canada, paramedics are being recognized for the important role they’ve been playing on the front lines of the health care system.

Huge thank you to the Chatham-Kent EMS and Medavie for providing outstanding care throughout the municipality.

Paramedic Services Week runs from May 18th to May 24th.  The theme this year is “We Care. For Everyone.”

Due to the Victoria Day holiday, garbage and recycling pick up will be pushed back by one day all week.

Friday pick ups will be done on Saturday.

Donors are needed!

There’s a blood donor clinic today in Blenheim at St. Mary’s Hall from 1 to 7 p.m.

No walk-in appointments are available. Book your appointment at Blood.ca, call 1-888-2-DONATE or use the apps.

If you’re unable to donate this week, the next clinic locally will also be at the St. Clair College Healthplex on May 24.

The Chatham-Kent Public Library hosts Movies @ Your Library every Tuesday at the Chatham branch.

Stop by today to see Bohemian Rhapsody.

Movies start at 2 p.m.

We officially know what teams will be the final 4 in the NHL playoffs.

The Carolina Hurricanes will host the Florida Panthers in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Final on Tuesday at 8 p.m., while The Dallas Stars will host the Edmonton Oilers in Game 1 of the Western Conference Final on Wednesday at 8 p.m.

The two teams that win their best-of-seven series in each conference will move on to the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
