Environment Canada has lifted the Heat Warning that had been in place since Sunday.

Still hot today, with sun and cloud and a high of 29C, that will feel like 39. Rain possible this evening bleeding into tomorrow. The overnight lows will give some relief; tonight down to 15, and down to 11C on Thursday.

The muggies will be gone by Friday and into the long weekend with sunshine and highs in the mid 20’s.


The Chatham Concert Band is back on stage tonight.

This is the 96th year for the Summer Concert Series, the show is free beginning at 7p.m..

Conductor Vaughn Pugh will chat with CKMORNINGS at 6:50 this morning.


Big comeback win last night for the Chatham-Kent Barnstormers over the London Majors at Fergie Jenkins Field.

The Barnstormers spotted the Majors a 6-1 lead before going off for their best inning ever, sending 13 batters to the plate and scoring 9 runs in the bottom of the 7th – then cruised to a 10-6 win.

Chatham-Kent will play 3 very win-able games this weekend: Friday in Brantford, then home to Kitchener and Toronto on Saturday & Sunday.


Long weekend coming up and a perfect time to go for a dip with the family.

CKRecreation is offering free rec swims at all their pools on Civic Holiday Monday from 1:30-4:30 p.m.

Katy Perry and former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau enjoyed dinner in Montreal on Monday night together.

Perry split up with Orlando Bloom in June, is currently on the Canadian leg of her tour with performance in Ottawa last night, and Montreal tonight.

Justin Trudeau and Sophie Grégoire Trudeau announced their separation in 2023, after 18 years of marriage. Together, they have three children.
