More sunshine on Saturday and slightly more humid, then on Sunday there’s a very slight chance of showers, otherwise it’ll be sunshine on and off with a high of 32C.

Some big news for the Chatham-Kent Barnstormers.

Today is July 4th- a federal holiday in the U.S.

It all goes back to 1776, when the Continental Congress officially adopted the Declaration of Independence — marking America’s break from British rule and the birth of a new nation. It wasn’t an instant party though — most of the actual signatures came later that summer. But July 4th became the date everyone celebrated. Fireworks, parades, and BBQs have been part of the tradition ever since, honoring freedom and independence.
