The final week of Summer break is going to give us a taste of Fall.

Environment Canada says there’s a chance of a thunderstorm this afternoon and evening with a high of 21.

Sunshine the rest of the work week, with a high of 24C on Thursday.


Another BrewFestCK party is planned for this weekend.

Red Barn Brewing hosts FarmFest on Saturday.

Over the summer, each local brewery hosts an event with new beer releases, food, entertainment, vendor markets and more all summer.

The final Brewfest party will be at Wallaceburg’s Glasstown Brewing Company on Saturday, September 13th.

Entry fee is $10 and that includes drink ticket and the proceeds go directly to the charity of choice for each brewery.


Four years ago today there was an explosion in downtown Wheatley about 6 p.m.

Buildings were destroyed and flying debris caused injuries.

The Toronto Zoo has released some information after two female gorillas sustained injuries last week after the introduction of a new male silverback.

Nneka injured her right arm, while Charlie had a visible cut on her glute. A third female gorilla, Ngozi, was unharmed.

Zwalani is a Western lowland gorilla who has been slowly integrated into the zoo’s gorilla family.

The zoo says during the gorilla social restructuring, Zwalani and the female gorillas may be off view to guests.


Big Boi from Outkast has a new collaborator: Whirlpool (the appliance company)

They have a new washer/dryer combo that plays Outkast’s “So Fresh, So Clean” during the wash cycle. But they’re only making one, and you have to register to win it (us Canadians are out of luck!)
