It’s WAMBO weekend in Wallaceburg.
The Wallaceburg Antique Motor and Boat Outing is one of Canada’s largest transportation shows and features antique boats, classic and specialty cars, firetrucks and motorcycles. There’s also plenty of entertainment throughout the weekend.
Things kick off tonight with the opening ceremony at Wallaceburg Civic Park at 5 p.m. Former Barenaked Ladies lead singer Steven Page will perform downtown Saturday night.

The Chatham-Kent Barnstormers will play their final weekend of home games of the regular season at Fergie Jenkins Field this weekend.
The Barnstormers take on the Brantford Red Sox Saturday at 7:05 pm and the Toronto Maple Leafs Sunday at 2:05 pm.

The team will play two more games on the road next weekend with IBL playoff action kicking off later this month.
A rare planetary alignment will take place this weekend, also known as the planet parade.
On Sunday, August 10, six planets- Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune- will line up in an arc in the night sky. Four of them (Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, and Saturn) will be easily visible to the naked eye. For Uranus and Neptune, get a pair of binoculars or a small telescope.
The exact timing of their appearances will vary, stretching from sunrise to the late hours of the night.
The tunnel bus that provides public transit from Windsor to Detroit only has a few more weeks of service.
The service comes to an end on August 31 after it was cut during the city’s 2025 budget process.
The Special Events bus, which provides transportation to concerts and sports games in Detroit, will continue to operate into December.
BrewFest continues this weekend in Chatham-Kent.
The event brings together all of the breweries in Chatham-Kent, which host a summer Fest in each their backyards over the course of the summer.
On Saturday, Bayside Brewing Co. in Erieau hosts their edition of BrewFest- EauFest.
There will be live entertainment, food trucks, and exclusive beer releases for visitors to enjoy. Tickets can be purchased at the gates for $10, which will include a drink ticket. Children under 18 are free. A portion of each ticket will be donated to the charity of choice.
Brewfest was named a finalist for best culinary tourism event in Ontario last year.
