The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation’s Summer Igniting Healthcare 50/50 Fundraiser wraps up today.

The grand prize draw will take place at 1:00 p.m. at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation Office. Tickets can be purchased until noon online or at the CKHAF office (9 Ursuline Ave, Chatham).

All money raised will go towards the Wallaceburg Redevelopment Campaign, helping build a brand-new facility with state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging equipment that will care for families for decades to come.

It’s Trivia Night at Sons of Kent in support of Rise House International.

Cost is $20 per person at the door. Trivia begins at 7pm with some awesome prizes to be won.

Some more end of season honours for the Chatham-Kent Barnstormers.

After being named the IBL Rookie of the Year earlier in the week, second baseman Evan Morrison was named to the First All Star team.

Shortstop Sadler Goodwin, centre fielder Spencer Marcus and catcher Mitsuki Fukada were named to the Second All Star Team.

Disney+ is raising subscription prices for the fourth year in a row.

Starting October 28th, the cost of a premium subscription will jump from $119.99 to $159.99. It’s still unclear if there are other Canadian price increases.

Disney+ launched in November 2019 and has been gradually raising its prices since. The price hike comes at an awkward time for Disney, currently facing public backlash after late night host Jimmy Kimmel was pulled from airwaves last week.

After the first week of the OHL season, the Windsor Spitfires are ranked #2 in Canada.

The Spits were ranked 5th overall for their preseason performance but have moved up to 2nd for week one. Windsor won both of their games last week against Sarnia and London.

Windsor is home tonight to play the Sudbury Wolves at 7:05 at the WFCU Centre.
