Sunshine and warm temperatures to start the work week in Chatham-Kent.

Sunny with a high of 26C today, the humidity will make it feel like 29C. That trend will continue with Environment Canada calling for sunshine right into the first weekend of October.


Bad Bunny was announced as the headliner for the 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Show during last nights Sunday Night Football game.

Bad Bunny, is a Puerto Rican rapper, singer, and record producer.

This technically won’t be his first Super Bowl performance, back in 2020 he performed during Shakira and Jennifer Lopez’s co-headlining halftime show.

Super Bowl 60 is February 8th at Levi’s Stadium, home of the San Francisco 49ers.


The Major League Baseball season is over.

The Toronto Blue Jays won their last four games to clinch their division, and the best record in the American League. They earned a bye to the American League Division Series that will begin at the Rogers Centre next Saturday. The Jays will play the winner of the New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox series that begins tomorrow night.

The Detroit Tigers limped into the playoffs after having a big league mid-summer. The Tigers earned a Wild Card position and will play the Guardians in Cleveland beginning tomorrow afternoon. Game time is 1:08 p.m.


Tomorrow is Canada’s sixth annual National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

The federal holiday is held on September 30th each year and honours the victims, survivors, families and communities impacted by residential schools. It coincides with Orange Shirt Day, an Indigenous-led grassroots event intended to raise awareness of the impacts of residential schools.

The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is a statutory holiday for federally regulated industries in Canada. In Ontario, the provincial government has not deemed the day a statutory holiday. That means the stat only applies to federally regulated industries in the province, including federal government employees.

Workers in most other industries in Ontario will have a normal work day, unless their employer has decided to give them the day off or it has been negotiated into collective agreements or employment contracts.


Costco is now selling a 5-foot tall advent calendar for the holidays full of Lindt Chocolate.

Each day of the calendar reveals either bags of Lindt truffles, full bars of chocolate or a Hollow Milk Chocolate Teddy Bear. The calendars have been selling in the U.S. for $189.
