London’s Rock the Runway music festival opens on Friday at the London International Airport.

About 24,000 people are expected on Friday to see headliner Noah Kahan, Also on Friday’s bill Myles Smith, The Strumbellas and Tyler Shaw. Marshmello will headline Saturday.

Apple announced eight new products yesterday.

There are four new iPhones — the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max and the all-new iPhone Air — as well as three Apple Watch updates and the AirPods Pro 3.

All four new iPhone 17 models will feature better cameras and longer-lasting batteries than last year’s line-up.

The iPhone 17 models will aslso have a front camera with more megapixels for crisper photos. The front camera will also have an option called “Center Stage” that will take advantage of a wider view of field and a new sensor that will enable users to take landscape photos without having to rotate the iPhone.

In Canada, Apple will charge $1,599 for the iPhone 17 Pro. The iPhone Air will start at $1,449. The starting price for the basic iPhone 17 is $1,129 and the iPhone 17 Pro Max at $1,749. All four models will be in stores September 19th.


The ticket window for the 2026 FIFA World Cup is about to open.

Beginning today until September 19th, Visa cardholders can enter a pre-sale draw covering all 104 games for expanded 48-team tournament, which is being co-hosted by Canada, the U.S. and Mexico. The FIFA lottery is worldwide, with the pre-sale – followed by multiple additional ticket phases.

This is one of three ways Canadians can get tickets.

Canadians will also be able to enter a separate lottery for a shot at Canada Soccer’s ticket allotment for Canada’s games. To do that, you have to be a member of the CanadaRed supporters group, with details still to come. When the Visa pre-sale window closes, a random draw will be held. Those applicants lucky enough to be drawn will be notified of a dedicated date and time slot (from October 1-21) to go online and buy tickets, provided some are available.


On Saturday Nintendo‘s Super Mario Bros will turn 40 years ago.

The successor to the Mario Bros. arcade game, Super Mario Bros. was designed for Nintendo’s home video game console and went on to spit out than 200 releases and spin-offs.
