The Chatham-Kent Crimestoppers is hosting the Children’s Safety Expo at the John D. Bradley Centre on Sunday.
The event is focused on child safety and protection. There is no cost.
There is also a Car Seat Clinic. Qualified staff will check installation, ensure safety standards, and answer your questions. Registration is required. Register here.

There’s a blood donor clinic tomorrow at the St. Clair College Healthplex 10:30 to 2:30 p.m.
No walk-in appointments are available. Book your appointment at www.blood.ca, call 1-888-2-DONATE or use the apps.
If you’re unable to donate this weekend, the next clinic locally will be Tuesday at the Heathlplex Tuesday, September 16 from 1 to 8 p.m.
The Chatham Jr. Maroons begin defense of the Sutherland Cup Championship this weekend.
Game one is tomorrow in Strathroy at 7:30. The home schedule begins Sunday at Memorial Arena at 7 p.m.
The Provincial Junior Hockey League (PJHL) is also underway.
The Wheatley Omstead Sharks opened the season on Wednesday. The Dresden Kings and Walpole Island Wild began last night. The Blenheim Blades begin Sunday at Blenheim Memorial Arena.
The final RM’s Cars & Coffee is tomorrow.
Come out 8–11 a.m. tomorrow, rain or shine, with coffee & donuts will be on hand for the first 250 guests.
The event is a chance for enthusiasts to get to know the RM Auto Restoration team. and get a glimpse inside the shop that helped dub Chatham-Kent ‘Canada’s Classic Car Capital’.
Cruise on in to RM Classic Cars (One Classic Car Drive, Blenheim, Ontario) for a morning of all things automotive. There is one more Cars & Coffee event this summer on Saturday, September 14th.

NASA has announced that the ‘clearest sign of life’ on Mars has been detected.
In an announcement earlier this week, an official with NASA said Mars Rover collected a sample on the planet believed to be evidence of ancient microbial life.
Researchers have been examining the features on ancient rocks in a crater where a river existed on Mars billions of years ago.
Specifically, chemicals — like iron and phosphorus — were detected in the sample collected microorganisms the rover … this means tiny microorganisms may’ve broken down organic material
