Students from Ursuline College will be holding their Lancers Scare Hunger food drive again tonight. Between 4-8 p.m., UCC students (who will be identified) will be going door to door in Chatham, Blenheim and Tilbury to collect non perishables for Outreach for Hunger.
This is the 18th year for the food drive.

For the first time ever a MLB season will start and end outside of the U.S. as the World Series heads back to Toronto for Game 6 and, if needed, Game 7.
The Toronto Blue Jays lead the L.A. Dodgers 3-2. Toronto is looking for its first championship since 1993, the Dodgers looking to repeat after winning it all last season.
Game 5 of the World Series is the new most-watched Blue Jays game ever with an average audience of 7.2 million viewers on Sportsnet. Through five games, the World Series is averaging 6.4 million viewers, with 19.3 million Canadians tuning in at some point.
Game 6 is tonight at 8 p.m., and if needed Game 7 on Saturday.
Daylight Saving Time ends this weekend as we fall back an hour, officially at 2 a.m. Sunday morning.
The C-K Fire Department reminds us that we should use the end of daylight saving time to change the batteries in our smoke alarms.

The Royal Canadian Legion’s poppy campaign begins today.
Every year, from the last Friday of October to November 11, tens of millions of Canadians wear a Poppy as a visual pledge to honour Canada’s Veterans and remember those who sacrificed for the freedoms we enjoy today.
The 2025 Digital Poppy will once again be presented through MyPoppy.ca. You can dedicate a Digital Poppy and share it on your social media channels.
The annual campaign runs until Remembrance Day, with money raised by each legion branch helping veterans and their families in those communities.
