Tilbury is locked in for Saturday, November 28th.

The man in red will be in Blenheim on Friday, December 5th, Wheatley the next afternoon. Ridgetown’s 75th annual Kiwanis parade is on Saturday, December 13th, and Thamesville is locked in for December 19th.

The Toronto Blue Jays are out to a 2-0 lead over the New York Yankees in their best of 5 American League Division Series. Saturday’s win was the Jays first playoff win in 10 years.

The Jays scored a big 13-7 win on Sunday. The Jays head off to New York for Game 3 on Tuesday.

In the late game the Seattle Mariners defeated the Detroit Tigers, 3-2, to even the series 1-1. It was the first home playoff game the Mariners have won in 24 years.

The series heads to Detroit for Game 3 and 4. First pitch at Comerica Park for Game 3 on Tuesday is set for 4:08 p.m. Game 4 is set for 3:08 p.m. the following day.

The first supermoon of the year will rise in the night sky tonight.

The combination Harvest and supermoon will look particularly big and bright as it orbits closer to Earth than usual. The Harvest Moon is the Full Moon that occurs closest to the autumnal equinox (either before or after).

The next three full moons will also be Super Moons; November’s Beaver Moon and December’s Cold Moon. A Super Moon occurs when the full moon coincides with the Moon reaching its closest point to Earth in its orbit.

Tim Hortons is raising the price of coffee.

It’s the first increase in three years. Tim Hortons explained in a release that the price of coffee beans has more than doubled over the past three years. The result? A 1.5% price bump per cup, which works out to an average increase of about three cents per coffee.
